By accessing and using Skilzu ("the Platform"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our services. These Terms apply to all users, including students, teachers, and administrators.

2. Account Registration and Security

2.1 Account Creation

• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
• One person or entity may maintain only one account

2.2 Account Security

• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

3. User Roles and Responsibilities

3.1 Students

• Students may enroll in courses and access course materials
• Course access is granted upon successful payment or enrollment in free courses
• Students may provide reviews and ratings for courses
• Students must not share course content with unauthorized users
• Students are responsible for maintaining the security of their enrolled courses

3.2 Teachers

• Teachers may create and publish courses on the platform
• Teachers must provide accurate course descriptions and content
• Teachers are responsible for the quality and accuracy of their course materials
• Teachers must comply with intellectual property laws and respect copyrights
• Teachers receive earnings based on course sales (70% of revenue after platform fees)
• Teachers must maintain professional conduct and provide support to enrolled students

4. Course Content and Intellectual Property

4.1 Teacher Content

• Teachers retain ownership of their course content
• By publishing on Skilzu, teachers grant us a license to host, display, and distribute their content
• Teachers warrant that their content does not infringe on any third-party rights
• Teachers are responsible for obtaining necessary licenses for third-party content

4.2 Platform Content

• All platform design, logos, and software are owned by Skilzu
• You may not copy, modify, or distribute platform content without permission
• Course content is for personal, non-commercial use only

5. Payments and Refunds

5.1 Course Pricing

• Course prices are set by teachers and displayed in Indian Rupees (₹)
• Prices may be subject to change, but enrolled students are protected from price increases
• Platform fees (30%) are deducted from course sales

5.2 Payment Processing

• Payments are processed securely through Razorpay
• We accept major credit cards, debit cards, UPI, and other payment methods
• All payments are final unless a refund is granted under our refund policy

5.3 Refund Policy

• Refunds may be requested within 30 days of purchase
• Refunds are granted at our discretion and may require valid reasons
• Refund requests must be submitted through our support system
• Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7-14 business days
• Free courses are not eligible for refunds

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Upload malicious software, viruses, or harmful code
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Share account credentials with others
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform
• Interfere with platform operations or security
• Use automated systems to access the platform without permission
• Engage in fraudulent activities or payment fraud
• Post spam, advertisements, or unsolicited content

7. Course Quality and Moderation

• All courses are subject to review and approval by administrators
• We reserve the right to remove or suspend courses that violate our policies
• Teachers are expected to maintain course quality and update content as needed
• We may remove courses that receive consistently poor ratings or complaints

8. Disclaimers and Limitations

8.1 Service Availability

We strive to provide continuous access to the platform, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. The platform may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or unforeseen circumstances.

8.2 Course Content

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of course content. Course content is provided "as is" by teachers, and we are not responsible for the quality or accuracy of educational materials.

8.3 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skilzu shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the platform.

9. Termination

9.1 By You

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support or using account deletion features. Upon termination, your access to the platform will be revoked, but your enrolled courses may remain accessible based on our retention policies.

9.2 By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activities, or harm the platform or other users. We may also terminate accounts that are inactive for extended periods.

10. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the platform shall be resolved through:

• Negotiation: Parties agree to attempt good-faith negotiation
• Mediation: If negotiation fails, disputes may be resolved through mediation
• Arbitration: Disputes may be subject to binding arbitration under applicable laws
• Jurisdiction: These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Indian courts

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or platform notifications. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the platform.
